Southwestern Santo Domingo-style jewelry is not only beautiful but almost baffling. This vibrant ‘40s-era vintage battery bird necklace was crafted from tiny turquoise scraps, bits of gypsum, and various found resins and plastics. Crafted in the traditional style, it's centered by a colorful thunderbird accented by a series of triangular tabs on a strand of beads. As an added bonus, it’s accompanied by a complementing pair of thunderbird dangles. The resourcefulness of these post-war jewelry artisans is nothing short of remarkable. As they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure!
History of Santo Domingo jewelry:
Due to the hardships in gathering jewelry-making materials during the Depression, artisans from Santo Domingo Pueblo used readily available materials. Battery casings, old vinyl records, red and white plastic cups and plates, hair combs, gypsum beads and turquoise chips were upcycled into affordable tourist jewelry. Originating in the 1930s, but sold well into the 1960s, these pieces are now the focus of museum collections and gallery showings.

Returns &Exchanges Policy
We accept return of products. Customers have the right to apply for a return within 14 days after the receipt of the product.
-Customers will only be charged once at most for shipping costs (this includes returns); No-restocking to be charged to the consumers for the return of the product.
-Please note that evening and wedding dress are order-made products, you can return them only if there is obvious quality problem within 7 days. Otherwise we will not accept the return.
-Please contact us in advance and we will provide you the address where you should return to. Do not send them back to the address on package . Or no refund will be issued.
-Items must be unused, undamaged and in original packaging with all the original labels ,ensure that all articles in the package are intact ! If not, the buyer is responsible for all incurred fees and no refund will be issued.
-Buyer is responsible for return shipping cost.
Items that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for return.

Order Cancellation
Your order will be fully refunded if it’s cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. Please submit a help ticket from Contact Us if you decide to cancel the order. For orders cancelled after 24 hours of purchase but before shipment, a 15% cancellation fee is applied. We will NOT accept order cancellation request if the order shave already been shipped.
Our estimated delivery dates are based on several factors, including the destination address, the shipping options you've chosen, and how quickly we can assemble and prepare your items for shipment. You can calculate delivery estimates by taking the processing time for your order and adding the delivery time based on the shipping method you've chosen.
For example, if you order a bodycon dress, it will need 3-5 business days of processing time and then 7-30 business days of shipping time if you select super saving shipping. Therefore, you can expect to receive it in 10-35 business days. And you can expect to receive it in 6-16 business days if you select Express Shipping (3-6 business days).

We have two options for international delivery. To have your order sooner, you can pay a little more for our expedited service, or if you are not in too much of a hurry, select our super savings option and you can enjoy the special offer.
You don't need to worry about your order. It would usually arrive on time unless there are unpredictable factors (bad weather etc.) which cause delay. We do appreciate your understanding in this matter.
